How do they work?
It sounds impossible, since a contact lens is stationary but your eyes quickly discern which part of the lens to see through. There are two available designs for multifocal contact lenses.
- Concentric ring lenses with the one distance in the middle and another distance in the outer rings.
- Aspheric lenses blend the vision powers vertically.
What will work for me?
After your examination we will try different lenses on you to determine which is the most comfortable for you and which works best for your particular eyesight. We patiently determine which lenses will give you the best vision and least discomfort.
Monovision as an alternative.
We are here to not only inform but to listen. Many people prefer the monovision attack for bifocal contacts. That means one eye is corrected for distance and the other is for close-up reading. In this manner you can always see but one eye will be stronger for each distance.
